There’s nothing like seeing your handiwork make the local news. Apparently a local station picked up on a promotion we were running for our two Ohio dailies (The Morning Journal and The News-Herald), called Dont Let LeBron Leave. It’s an online petition site I designed a few weeks ago (props to Renee on all the development). It has a simple forum, some really cool slideshows of Lebron James, and even an awesome download-able poster featuring the King James himself (much props to Nikki Addeo on the poster). I have to say, I feel somewhat honored that somebody, somewhere was holding up a website I designed on a laptop outside a basketball arena.

Keeping the King in Cleveland

The only link I have for the video is for the pop-up player, which is weird. Maybe I can figure out a way to at least <iframe> something here on the blog, proper. Till then, you’re stuck with the link above.

But it isn’t the first time…

This is of course, not the first time sites I’ve designed have showed up on TV. Early during the launch of the Journal Register dailies, the department happened upon some TV commercial time in a few of our markets. It was deemed that it should be used to promote the new dailies design that was launching simultaneously. Below is the work of one afternoon, and multiple takes which ran in the Philadelphia area:

…and since you’re still reading, yes, there were bloopers. Enjoy:
